A Florida woman faces criminal charges after pointing a pellet gun at two boys who she thought were fishing in her backyard.

Turns out the boys were not actually on her property, according to authorities.

Donna Elkins, 59, faces aggravated assault and false imprisonment after forcing the boys to lie on the ground while threatening to "blow their heads off," Fox 35 reported. The pellet gun resembled a real gun.

"She said she was going to blow our brains out and that if we didn't listen to her, she would shoot — that she was going to blow our heads off," the 15-year-old boy involved in the incident told Fox 35. "In my head, it was a real gun."

The station reported that the two boys were not physcially harmed during the encounter. The boys lay on the ground for about five minutes until the woman's husband came out of their home and took the pellet gun.

Although Elkins told authorities in a 911 call that the boys were fishing in her backyard, police said the boys were on a peninsula about 30 feet away from Elkins' property line, Fox 35 reported.
