After being honked at, Arceo first brake-checked the van and then pulled alongside it at a stoplight, KSAT reported. The woman who was driving the van told police that she saw him point a handgun in her direction, so she turned right, and as she did so, she heard a pop.
A 10-year-old girl who was in the back seat of the van was struck by the gunfire and sustained "life-threatening injuries. Her mother and father were unharmed.
Police said that after the shooting, Arceo took off, but police were quickly able to find him and arrest him. Arceo was charged with three counts of aggravated assault and one count of endangering a child.
