The planned crossover Tekken X Street Fighter has been a word-of-mouth for an unimaginably long amount of time, and because of the hype surrounding it, gamer have grown somewhat weary of what Bandai Namco and Capcom have to say. The creator assures the fans, however, that the game is still being worked on, despite what many have heard.

Delivered by Day Herald, Bandai Namco's current expansion of the Tekken franchise, Tekken 7, has officially landed itself onto the gaming world with flying colors, earning the fame that it so rightfully deserved since it was announced. As the expansion of the game, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is still underway, there are those that question what has happened to the long overdue idea of Tekken X Street Fighter after the successful release of Street Fighter X Tekken in the past.

According to Youth Health Mag, Bandai Namco's Katsuhiro Harada was questioned if the crossover project Tekken X Street Fighter was already tossed away. The game's creator hurriedly responded that the game is still happening and that they are far into its development, with the characters and move sets orchestrated a long time ago.

As for the release date, both Harada and Capcom's Yoshinori Ono are still skeptical with giving a fixed one for now because both franchises from each companies are still letting the latest expansions blossom on their own and releasing the crossover at the perfect time is very vital.

Noted by iDigital Times, there are gamers that hunch on the inclusion of Street Fighter's Akuma as a preparatory move by Bandai Namco on the particular crossover. Bandai Namco clarified, however, that Akuma will be the last and only Street Fighter character that will be added to the roster and is given an important part to play in the game's storyline.

Tekken X Street Fighter is still a long way from affirmation for now. Keep posted for more updates on Bandai Namco and Capcom's joint project.
