Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is all set to release the much awaited Awakening downloadable content, but more importantly, a patch that comes along with it. The reason as to why the update is so important was also disclosed by Treyarch, and everything is now expected to fall into place as the DLC goes live.

As per Gear Nuke, the critically acclaimed Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has its eyes set for a smooth launch for the Awakening downloadable content pack slated to go live today. With it, a very vital update to the game that sizes up to a staggering 9.4GB is expected to befall the system, in which the Awakening DLC pack is already a part of. No manual download is required for the downloadable content pack.

Noted by PlayStation Lifestyle, the patch truly is massive in terms of storage size, and Treyarch claims that it is so because it will back up the jam-packed features of the downloadable content. The said update also will include several fixes designed to improve and further enhance the total gaming experience for all.

According to Attack of the Fan Boy, Awakening is now up and running for the PlayStation 4, sadly, however, owners of the Xbox One and PC will have to wait a slight tad bit longer as their shares of the game will happen a month later. On heavier news, ActiVision divulged in previous news that those who have the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 will not be getting the said DLC.

On the occasion that the patch and Awakening does not appear prior to the download, ActiVision recommends that the game be restarted and if it does not work as well, the system should be restarted instead.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Awakening downloadable content update and the latest patch is already live for all the avid fans of the said franchise. Stay tuned for more news on Treyarch's chart-topping continuity to the Call of Duty series.
