‘XXX 3’: Nina Dobrev, Ruby Rose indulge in prank war on set; Deepika Padukone drops BTS photos

'XXX 3', entitled 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage', is an upcoming action film starring Vin Diesel. Co-stars Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose engage in a long prank war on the filming set as shown on their respective social media accounts. More behind-the scenes photographs emerge showing the new cast in high spirits.

According to Wet Paint, Nina Dobrev and co-star Ruby Rose are engaged in a hilarious back and forth prank war on the filming set of the upcoming 'XXX: Return of Xander Cage' as seen on their respective social media accounts. It all began when Dobrev posted a video of herself catching Rose off guard as the latter entered her trailer. Rose inadvertently launched into an expletive-filled rant after Dobrev appeared seemingly out of nowhere to spook her.

Rose retaliated by posting a video on Instagram that intended to make Dobrev look like a stalker after filling out her co-star's trailer with photographs of herself. The short video was captioned, "When you go to say hi to @ninadobrev but she has 100 photos in her trailer of you and it's awkward because you're trying to be professional.. #seekhelpnina #evillaughofastalker #wherestheshinetoo#ineedextrasecurity."

The two television stars seem to have become the best of friends after being cast as the newest additions on the third installment in the action series starring Vin Diesel in the lead role. According to E!, Diesel will reprise his role as the rebellious extreme sports enthusiast and undercover agent Xander Cage after an absence from the preceding film 'XXX: State of the Union'.

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone joins Diesel as his latest on-screen love interest Serena Unger. New photographs and videos from the filming set in Hamilton, Ontario. According to India Today, the actress posted an image of herself with Diesel smiling at each other while clad in their all-black costumes. Another image posted by director D.J. Caruso showed Padukone and Rose huddling together with Rory McCann hovering over them in the background.

'XXX 3', or 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage', is an upcoming action film intended as the third installment in the franchise. It is directed by D.J. Caruso and is scheduled to be released in theaters on January 20, 2017.
