Apple is bound to hold an event next month, wherein the company is expected to launch some of its new devices including the upcoming MacBooks.  However, contrasting reports claim the Cupertino-based tech giant will release its 2016 MacBook Pro and MacBook Air late this year.

According to Gospel Herald, Apple Inc. will wait until the company's annual Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) to unveil its upcoming MacBook line-up. The said Apple event is expected to take place not until the summer. The site claims it's possible that with the addition of the new MacBook Pro, there could be three new products that will be added to the lineup for the MacBook Air. Some speculations have revealed that there will be a 12-inch version of the MacBook Air, as well as some 13-inch and 15-inch models.

Nonetheless, if these new MacBooks will make its first appearance at WWDC, fans won't see the devices until Q3 or Q4 of this year,  just in time for the holiday. However, it is believed to have a bit of a gap in between models.

When it comes to specifications, it was previously reported that MacBook Pro 2016 could be fuelled with Intel's sixth-generation microarchitecture, which is known as the Skylake chip. This chipset not only improves the performance but the graphics and power efficiency of the device as well. The Skylake update in the processor would feature a smarter power usage that can help in extending the MacBook's already decent battery length. It is also believed that the graphics will be kicked up, allowing for a 4K output on some devices.

Additionally, a lot of competitors are releasing laptops with 4K displays, so Apple may also make a move to enhance its Retina display laptops. The Cupertino-based company might also integrate some of the features that are already visible in the 2015 MacBook laptop. These include the USB Type-C port with Thunderbolt and the Force Touch trackpad. The soon-to-be released MacBook Pro laptops will also ship with the current OS X El Capitan.

Meanwhile, Latinos Health stated that aside from the new versions of the MacBook Air 2016, the upcoming laptop might also feature a thinner frame and retina display. There are also predictions that it will be engineered with Intel Broadwell or Skylake processor.

Although the specifics of both MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 are not yet confirmed, Apple patrons could wait until the company's March event. During the occasion, the American tech company might reveal more information about its upcoming laptops.
