A Florida man is suing Outback Steakhouse after he said a toilet he sat on suddenly shattered, causing him "severe bodily injury."

News 6 reported that the lawsuit was recently filed by a man identified as Michael Green. According to the lawsuit, Green was visiting an Outback Steakhouse in March when the incident occurred. News 6 posted a copy of the lawsuit.

"While seated on the toilet in the handicap stall, the toilet suddenly shattered and collapsed beneath the plaintiff, causing him to fall which resulted in severe bodily injury," the lawsuit states.

Among the accusations in the lawsuit are that Outback Steakhouse failed to properly maintain the toilet, including making sure that it was properly secured to the floor. The lawsuit asks for damages in excess of $50,000.

The lawsuit also lists damages to Green, including the "loss of an important bodily function." The lawsuit refers to the potential for permanent injury, including scarring or disfigurement. It also references the aggravation of an existing medical condition.
