Apple MacBook Pro 2016 Release Rumors: Device To Be Launched On March In Two Variants

By

The Apple MacBook Pro 2016 has been on the internet rumor mill for quite some time now. Recently, another theory about its release has made it to the spotlight and this time, it claims that the laptop will be arriving next month with two variants.

According to Youth Health Magazine, Apple's manufacturing affiliates are slated to start creating new 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro models late March or early April in 2016. Meanwhile, the 15-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to follow in the third quarter of this year.

It was also reported that the new 12-inch MacBook and 13-inch MacBook Pro might make its first appearance at Apple's rumored March media event. These MacBooks are expected to be launched together with other new Apple products such as the new 4-inch iPhone, iPad Air 3 and the Apple Watch 2. Nevertheless, there are talks stating that it might also debut in June during the WWDC event.

On the other hand, the 15-inch MacBook Pro 2016 may find two possibilities -- being launched after the WWDC event or during WWDC and then be shipped later in the year.

Meanwhile, Ecumenical News reported it has long been believed that the laptop will be arriving featuring the Intel's new Skylake processors. It can be remembered that the last year's 13-inch MacBook Pro arrived with a Broadwell chip while the bigger 15-inch model had a Haswell chip.

Intel has been churning out the Skylake processors and the company also announced that it had versions for the 13 inch MacBook Pro in September 2015. Intel also stated it had chips that are suitable for the 15-inch Retina MacBook Pro. This suggests that Apple could take advantage of these new chipsets and start rolling them out in the MacBook Pro 2016 lineup.

MNR Daily further stated that aside from the new chipset, patrons of Apple are expecting for more upgrades. One of which is an equal battery life for both laptops. But given the difference in size and computer capabilities, it may be hard to enable that feature for both laptops.

The MacBook Pro 2016 might also receive an upgraded version of Apple's OS, which is currently set to El Capitan. There are also reports stating that the Apple's MacBook Pros will arrive with any of these three quad-core mobile CPUs: the 2.6 GHz Core i7-6770HQ, the 2.7 Core i7-6870HQ, or the 2.8 Core i7-6970HQ. The current configurations use the 2.2- and 2.5- variants, with the 2.8 a luxurious upgrade option.

These details are just based on predictions and speculations though, so Apple fans should take it as a grain of salt. But one thing is for sure, Apple is working hard to deliver improvements to its upcoming MacBook Pro 2016.
