Jury selection in George Zimmerman's murder resumed in Sanford Florida on Friday, following four days of interviews with different potential jurors, the Huffington Post reported. Zimmerman began his second-degree murder trial earlier this week for the the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, which occurred late February last year.
Attorneys trying to seat a jury in George Zimmerman's trial for shooting an unarmed teen stopped questioning a man in his 20s Wednesday after he gave answers that indicated he would not be impartial, the Associated Press reported. The juror, known as "R-39," said that "murder is murder," even if it's self-defense.
The management at 'PBS NewsHour' said Tuesday a decision was made to close offices in Denver and San Francisco and law off employees to cut costs. The layoffs at the public television news program are the fist significant staff reductions in nearly 20 years, The New York Times reported. It was reported that 'NewsHour's' producer MacNeil/Lehrer Productions, based in Arlington Virginia will also eliminate several 'non-critical production positions' at its main office.
