Trayvon Martin's parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, have settled a wrongful death claim for an amount thought to be more than $1 million against the homeowners association of the Sanford subdivision where their son was killed, the Orlando Sentinel reported. The Martins' attorney Benjamin Crump filed their paperwork at the Seminole County Courthouse, a portion of which was made public on Friday.

A man fatally shot another man, then killed himself at a day care center in Gatineau, Quebec on Friday. All 53 children were safe and unharmed, and police would not say whether any had witnessed the killings, Gatineau Police Chief Mario Haren said.

Wesley Snipes was released from the medium security Federal Correctional Institution McKean, in northwest Pennsylvania. He is known for his starring roles in 'White Men Can't Jump,' the 'Blade franchise and 'Jungle Fever. The jury convicted him for not filing tax returns. He was acquitted of felony and conspiracy charges. Prosecutors argued that Snipes had earned more than $8 million, and failed to file income tax returns between 1999 through 2001.
