US immigration officials have said that the migrants were a group of around 140 adults and children from Texas who were flown to San Diego then transported to California to be assigned case numbers and undergo background checks. Most of them would be released under limited supervision to await deportation proceedings, the officials added.

As of 2PM Wednesday, USA Today cited a National Hurricane Center that said Tropical Storm Arthus was at around a hundred miles east of Daytona Beach, Florida, and 235 miles south of Charleston, South Carolina. A tropical storm warning has already bee issued for all of coastal North Carolina, with a hurricane watch for the state section that juts into the Atlantic, Bogue Inlet to Oregon Inlet. The hurricane warning for Florida, however, has been canceled.

The Associated Press said that on the Vatican's social communications office Twitter feed, a cartoon was posted showing the Argentine-born pontiff wearing a blue and white Argentina scarf over his signature white cassock, as he watches on glumly while a pair of Swiss Guards drinking beer watch the live match on television. The cartoon had a header that read, "Argentina vs Switzerland :)"
