Eman Mohammed, who is a US green card carrying resident and a TED fellow who has been working in the city as a freelance photographer, spoke to Buzzfeed over the phone, "Do you know how hard it is to get anywhere in Gaza right now? And I have two young children with me. I tried hard to get there, but there was no way. So now I am stuck here in Gaza City. I'm so worried, mostly for my children. This isn't easy for anyone, to be stuck here."
Parents were seen clutching their children to safety from the iconic Obelisk monument as they attempted to avoid the escalating tension between the rowdy lads who had been kicking down metal grills on shop fronts and began taunting police officers. Local media had reported that at least 15 of the police officers received injuries and over 50 people were detained in the unrest that had followed the devastating World Cup loss.
The video by Terry Williams showed him inside a hot car and showing YouTube viewers how uncomfortable it is for a fully-grown fit man to sit in a hot car even with the windows open. Williams, who is visibly dripping in sweat while facing the camera, said that he had challenged himself to sit in a closed car to know how children left alone in vehicles would feel as temperatures outside hit 90 degrees on the day of filming.
