Federal agents have made public new surveillance photos and short video clips that show a masked man at the Arizona home of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie around the time she went missing, and they are asking for help to identify him.
The FBI said the material comes from Guthrie's own security system and was recovered only after technicians managed to pull leftover data from back-end systems days into the investigation. In the black-and-white images, the person is dressed in long sleeves and pants, wearing gloves, a mask, and a backpack, and appears to reach toward or block a doorbell camera by using a hand and nearby plants.
Officials say the individual is believed to be armed and may have interfered with the camera on the morning Guthrie disappeared, according to CNN.
Guthrie, the mother of "Today" co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, was last seen on January 31 and was reported missing the next day after she failed to show up at church. Authorities believe she was taken against her will from her home outside Tucson.
Investigators later found blood on her front porch, and DNA testing matched it to Guthrie. A camera from the property has also been reported missing, adding to questions about what happened at the house that night.

The investigation has included ransom notes from people claiming to have abducted Guthrie, with deadlines for payment that have already passed, though officials have not fully clarified the authenticity of those messages. Law enforcement has released only limited details about any contact with the alleged kidnappers, the New York Times reported.
Savannah Guthrie and her siblings have posted emotional appeals online, saying they believe their mother is still alive and pleading with the public and the kidnappers for help. In a recent video, Savannah asked viewers to study the images of the masked man and urged anyone with even small pieces of information to come forward.
The FBI is asking anyone who recognizes the person in the new photos or who has information about Nancy Guthrie's whereabouts to call their tip line or local authorities, as per Yahoo News.
