A Louisiana mom's daughter asked a judge to sentence her to the maximum after she was caught having sex with multiple teenagers.
Leeann Yammarino, 44, was sentenced to 26 years in prison after pleading no contest to charges of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, WBRZ-2 reported.
Before the sentencing, Yammarino's daughter had asked the judge to give her the maximum sentence possible, the station reported.
The New York Post reported that Yammarino was heavily involved in the school's cheerleading squad. She had been in jail since her arrest in July.
Prosecutors had alleged that Yammarino had sex with a 14-year-old boy over a seven-month period in early 2024. Other accusations focused on her sexting various teenagers who were between 14 and 16 years old, WBRZ-2 reported.
According to WBRZ-2, prosecutors had described Yammarino as a danger to the community, noting that her victims were minors and that her behavior was not an isolated incident. She also was described as a mom who was highly involved in school activities.
WAFB-9 reported that the investigation began when a teen came forward and told police that he and Yammarino were having sex.
