A 20-year-old who shouted antisemitic comments at Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy now faces criminal charges.

Patrick McClintock was charged with disturbing the peace after a Friday incident in which he shouted antisemitic statements at Portnoy, the Mississippi State University student newspaper The Reflector reported. Portnoy was in the middle of being filmed doing a pizza review, and the statements were recorded.

McClintock was a junior majoring in mechanical engineering. According to the New York Post, he voluntarily withdrew from the school on Monday.

In the video of the incident, Portnoy is talking about the pizza when someone shouts off camera, "Hey, f--- the Jews! F--- you Dave Portnoy!"

After a brief pause, Portnoy responds, "Why don't you come on the camera buddy?"

In an interview with CBS News that was recorded before the weekend incident, Portnoy said that he was increasingly dealing with antisemitic statements.

"It's every day now. Like, there's a definitive shift in what's going on," Portnoy told CBS News' Tony Dokoupil in an interview set to air Sunday.

"For me, being a Jewish person, like, you got to step up. You're kind of someone people look up to in the Jewish community. You have to be, like, 'All right, this is not normal ha-ha with the guys. People are coming up with real hate,'" Portnoy said according to CBS.
