A Kentucky man charged with murder allegedly made a checklist of things to do related to the homicide.

Police believe Daniel Kearney, 39, shot and killed Damian A. Poole, 36, in the camper they shared. Kearney also has been charged with cruelty to animals after two dogs were found dead inside as well.

Poole was reported missing Sept. 9 by his mother, and police executed a search warrant on Sept. 11, WKYT reported. Inside the home police found Poole's dead body, covered by a sheet, with multiple gunshot wounds.

The station reported that police also found a checklist of to-do items related to the slaying, including cleaning up the residence, disposing of evidence, and getting rid of the body.

Kearney also is charged with tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Police said that he is being held in the Knox County Detention Center.

Poole's body was transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for autopsy.
