A Florida man followed another driver into an apartment complex parking lot and shot him dead after being frustrated that he was driving "super slow."

Jaden Harris, 24, faces a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death of 43-year-old Joseph Hall Jr. Harris followed Hall into an apartment complex following a driving dispute.

According to court documents, Harris told police that he was driving northbound on South Mangoustine Avenue and that Hall Jr. was driving his Jeep Gladiator "super slow." Harris told police he decided to drive into oncoming traffic to pass Joseph.

Following this interaction, Harris claimed that Hall Jr. drove in a way that made him nervous. Harris told police that he decided to follow Hall Jr. and take a picture of his license plate.

Surveillance cameras show Hall Jr.'s vehicle turning into the apartment complex, followed by an unrelated vehicle. The footage shows Harris drive up quickly behind the unrelated vehicle to apparently catch up to Hall Jr. Harris then follows him into the parking lot, court documents state.

Multiple witnesses said that there was an argument between Harris and Hall Jr., and then gunfire. The witnesses also said that after the first shots, they saw Hall Jr. running away and Harris running toward Hall Jr. firing, court documents state.

In interviews with police, Harris insinuated that Hall Jr. had blocked him into the parking lot, confronted him, and lunged at his vehicle. However, the report concluded that Harris was the aggressor in the incident.

"Jaden aggressively following (sic) Joseph from multiple locations to obtain vehicle information without reason. Jaden had several opportunities to disengage from pursuing Joseph but maliciously continued instead," the report states.

The report notes that Hall Jr. was unarmed and that Harris did not believe he was armed. "Joseph did not cause Jaden any injuries or harm to him that would justify the use of deadly force," it states. "Jaden was not in imminent danger."
