Texas police arrested social media influencer Brian "Liver King" Johnson on charges of making a threat after he challenged Joe Rogan to a fight via Instagram.

Johnson made several videos in which he referenced the popular podcaster. KXAN reported that in a June 23 video, Johnson said: "Joe Rogan, I'm calling you out; my name's Liver King. Man to man, I'm picking a fight with you. I have no training in Jiu-jitsu; you're a black belt; you should dismantle me. But I'm picking a fight with you. Your rules, I'll come to you whenever you're ready."

In subsequent videos, Johnson is on camera while a supporter notes the police are outside. In another video, two people discuss Johnson's arrest, leave a hotel and walk right up to where Johnson is being detained.

KXAN noted that the arrest happened outside of the Four Seasons Hotel downtown around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Johnson is a fitness influencer who promotes an ancestral lifestyle that includes the eating of raw and unprocessed meats and organs.

Johnson was arrested over the posts after detectives contacted Rogan who told detectives that he considered them threatening, KXAN reported.
