A Tennessee community celebration that included a bounce house allegedly turned into a foam-filled nightmare that sent at least one child to the hospital, according to a report.

Two parents have sued Knox County over the incident that happened at an event in August 2024 at Powell Station Park in Knoxville, reported WATE-6. Among the defendants are the Powell Business and Professional Association, which hosted the event, and Party Bounce House Rentals.

The foam-filled bounce house was part of the event and allegedly had no adult supervision. the bounce house was filled with foam that was chest high, the station reported, citing the lawsuit.

One of the parents suing states in the lawsuit that he heard screaming coming from the bounce house, entered, and began helping numerous children. The station reported that the man pulled his own son unconscious from the bounce house.

The lawsuit specifies $350,000 in punitive damages and $31,237.15 in special damages for medical expenses.
