A tragic Christmas Eve murder in Georgia has launched an intense manhunt for a suspect police are calling armed and dangerous, as authorities work to bring justice for a beloved local business owner whose life was cut short in a senseless act of violence.

Roberto Dominguez Soto is considered armed and dangerous by Roswell police and is wanted in connection with the death of girlfriend Blanca Sauer, FOX 5 reported.

The body of Sauer, 47, was found Christmas Eve near the Chattahoochee River. Fox 5 reported that police believe she was shot and her body discarded.

"This is a heartbreaking situation, especially during the holiday season, and our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of Ms. Sauer," Roswell Police Chief James Conroy said to FOX 5. "We are committed to bringing justice to those affected by this senseless act of targeted violence."

Sauer owned a restaurant called Casa de Quesadilla which is about one mile from where her body was found, Rough Draft Atlanta reported.

"For those of you who never had the opportunity to know her, Blanca was a very special person to many. She was an entrepreneur, friend, aunt, mother, grandmother, and admirable daughter. She strived to achieve her goals and never gave up on her dreams," states a GoFundMe page established for the family.

"She owned a restaurant that she never gave up on and built from the ground up. She was kind to everyone, treated people with respect, helped those less fortunate, and was always fun to be around," the page states.

Roswell police described Soto as a 49-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes, 5-feet, 11-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds, Rough Draft Atlanta reported.

Soto also is wanted, according to Fox 5, by Interpol on firearms related charges.

Anyone with information about Dominguez Soto's should contact the Roswell Police Department at 770-640-4100. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or online at www.StopCrimeATL.org.
