Blood Soaked Rental Car Returned to Florida Airport After Driver Stabbed at ATM

Police in Broward County, Florida are seeking information regarding an apparent stabbing of a driver of a car in the Bank of America drive-thru ATM on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The car was later returned to a rental car agency and police have not yet located the driver, police said.

The incident occurred at about 6:30 p.m. Witnesses told police that they saw someone stabbing the driver of a black Dodge Charger. Police have released video of the incident which shows an athletically built individual approximately 6 feet tall, with short black hair and a beard, wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and green sneakers. The individual, who appears to be in his late 20s to early 30s, can be seen standing outside the Dodge Charger.

Police said the individual appears to be armed with an unknown pointed weapon and was seen with a large amount of blood on his jeans before fleeing the scene on foot.

Police eventually located the Dodge Charger in Fort Lauderdale the evening of the stabbing. The car was a rental that has apparently been returned to the rental company. Police said the car had blood splattered in the interior and that the driver had taken off on foot. The driver was not found.
