A 14-year-old in Louisiana is facing charges after allegedly stabbing her father during a dispute Monday night, authorities said.
The Shreveport Police Department said officers responded to a residence on Lakehurst Avenue near Hearne Avenue shortly after 7 p.m. Monday following a report of a stabbing. Officers arrived to find a man suffering multiple stab wounds to his chest and hand.
The victim was transported to Ochsner LSU Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
The teen's mother allegedly told police the girl was responsible for stabbing her father following a dispute. The teen was arrested and charged with one count of attempted second-degree murder.
