Authorities arrested a teacher in California accused of having sex with a student in her vehicle, say police.
Colleen Jo Matarico, 43, has been charged with five counts of lewd acts with a minor, two counts of lewd acts with a minor 14 or 15 years old, and one count of furnishing marijuana to a minor, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Matarico was arrested Thursday and is being held on $1.3 million bail.
She allegedly "groomed and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old victim in her classroom, and later convinced the victim to have sexual intercourse in her vehicle," said police, who believe there are additional victims who have yet to come forward.
It's unclear what school Matarico teaches at, but a LinkedIn user with the same name describes themself as a special education teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
