Chicago police thwarted a train heist when they found four suspects allegedly stealing TVs from a train freight car.

The attempted heist on the city's South Side led to several arrests and dozens of TVs being recovered by police after they busted the culprits mid-crime.

Four males can be seen on surveillance footage pulling into a gas station and using a hole in a fence to access the train tracks, according to WGN.

They then return carrying big-screen TVs and begin loading the stolen items into a beige pickup truck at the scene.

Roughly 15 minutes into the heist, a black sedan comes into view as it parks into a spot.

A man can be seen exiting the vehicle and running up around a fence.

The video continues to record the robbery in progress until several squad cars pull up and interrupt the burglars.

The suspects attempted to flee the scene while dumping some of the stolen merchandise; however, they were all apprehended after a quick foot chase.

Police were reportedly able to recover 39 TVs from the scene.
