'The Vampire Diaries' Season 7: Ian Somerhalder rumored to exit show to marry Nikki Reed; Will Caroline to die?

Rumors have surfaced that Ian Somerhalder will leave "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 to marry and start a family with Nikki Reed. "American Horror Story" actress  Mouzam Makkar has been cast to play a recurring role while the CW has released the offiical plot description for the 12th episode entitled, "Postcards from the Edge".

Rumor has it that Nina Dobrev's former boyfriend Ian Somerhalder, who plays the role of Damon Salvatore, will leave the show in the end of the current season. Christian Post has reported that Somerhalder is working on his marriage and family plans with Nikki Reed.

On the other hand, "American Horror Story" alum Mouzam Makkar officially joins the cast of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 and according to TV Line, Makkar is set to play a reccuring role in the show. Alex happens to be a researcher at the head of a mysterious organizatio, and is described as a beautiful, charming, cocky, and a woman who cannot be easily trust. Makkar's character will be introduced in the 14th episode of The CW series.

As for the official plot of episode 12, Comic Book Movie notes, "Damon finds himself without a care in the world, spiraling out of control and under the influence of a reckless Julian; Stefan attempts to reason with Damon only to uncover the devastating reason for his descent; Caroline begins having some dangerous side effects of her supernatural pregnancy and is forced to turn to Valerie for help; Bonnie, Nora, and Mary Louise tracks down Rayna after they suspect that she has reemerged."

"The Vampire Diaries" Season 7 Episode 12 is entitled as "Postcards from the Edge". The forthcoming episode is slated to premiere on Friday, February 12, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on The CW.

"The Vampire Diaries" is an American supernatural drama TV series developed by Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec, based on the popular book series of L.J. Smith under the same name.
