Microsoft to release mid-range smartphone Lumia 650; Rumored specs, features, release date

In the past, Microsoft has released a range of Lumia smartphones wrapping every price points. Its premium version the Lumia 950 and the affordable Lumia 550 are already in the market. Moreover, Microsoft is now ready to reveal its mid-range smartphone, the Lumia 650.

Microsoft is bound to release the Lumia 650 within the first quarter of this year. No definite dimensions available yet but the Lumia 650 will have a 5 inch IPS LCD screen display with capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels (~294 PPI pixel density), it also employs 16m colors for that bright rich display. The screen of the Lumia 650 will be protected by the Corning gorilla 3 getting consumers rid of an additional screen protector.

Under the hood, the Lumia 650 will be powered by the impressive Quad-core 1.1 GHz Cortex-A7 Qualcomm MSM8909 Snapdragon 210 with Adreno 304 for graphics. The Lumia 650 will have an 8GB internal memory with up to 128GB of external memory via microSD card and if this is not enough Microsoft also has the OneDrive app which stores up to 30GB of files of the user's precious files.

According to Gadget 360, the Microsoft Lumia 650 is going to have 1GB of RAM, not enormous but definitely will do the basic work that users will want it to. Microsoft will also use the Microsoft Windows 10 as its OS. All this hardware will be powered by a 2200mAh Li-ion battery.

When it comes to taking those precious memories, the Lumia 650 will sport an 8MP f/2.2, 28mm primary camera with autofocus and LED flash. On the front, the device is equipped with a 5MP camera for those selfie moments. The Lumia can also record videos with 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second.

Additional features of the Lumia 650 are Wi-Fi capability, Bluetooth connectivity with accelerometer, proximity and compass sensors. The 650 is also equipped with FM receiver to keep you updated with your favorite music on the radio.
