China smartphone Huawei Honor 5X features, specs; Unibody design with octa-core Snapdragon chipset

The Huawei Honor 5X was launched in India last year. The Honor 5X gives it users a premium feel with the unibody design coupled with an octa-core Snapdragon processor; users are up for an excellent device.

The Huawei Honor 5X comes in with a 5.5 inch screen with full 1080p resolution in full HD display. Pixilation are barely noticeable with this device not to mention the excellent display response. It brings in vibrant colors and angles that prove to be decent.

This device is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It comes with a 16GB of internal storage and an option of increasing it up to 128GB via external microSD card. It comes with a 3000maH battery to last you a day without charging. It utilizes the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system while using the company's user interface, the EMUI 3.1 lite. Experts say that the Honor 5X will be upgradable to the Marshmallow anytime soon according to GSM Arena.

For the camera junkies, the Huwaei Honor 5X is a winner. It comes in with a 13MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture and 28mm wide angle lens. As an image processor, Huwaei is using the SmartImage 3.0 for an even better image quality. On the front, the Honor is using a 5MP camera with an f/2.2 and a 22mm wide angle lens. On indoor shots, users found the Honor 5X to be excellent with a good color resolution without any noise noticed.

Honor 5X doesn't come with an app drawer just like any other huwaei phones, but it comes with a fingerprint sensor 2.0 that can be utilize for taking pictures, stopping the alarm and answering calls. It also comes with a variety of preloaded application such as Facebook Messenger, Facebook, and Instagram. All pre-installed apps on the phone however can be uninstalled depending on the users preference.

Huawei had been producing excellent budget and premium phones recently. Considering the price and specs ratio, users will not have a second thought grabbing one but Chinese after service still brings a stint of negativity along the way.
