Linklaters has announced the winners of its annual “Aspire” competition. Now in its second year, “Aspire”, organised by Linklaters’ graduate recruitment team, encourages and inspires students to develop themselves and make a difference to their lives or to those others within their communities.
Latham & Watkins advised the Managers in relation to an Ijara sukuk issuance by Saudi Electricity Global SUKUK Company (a wholly-owned SPV of Saudi Electricity Company). The sukuk was issued in two tranches, for the amount of $500 million due 2017 and $1.25 billion due 2022 respectively.
Latham & Watkins represents Kinetic Mines and Energy Limited, an integrated coal provider operating in China, in connection with its initial public offering (IPO) of 930,000,000 shares and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, including its international offering (144A/Reg S) of 837,000,000 shares and Hong Kong public offering of 93,000,000 shares. The offering raised approximately HK$1.1 billion gross proceeds after pricing its offering at HK$1.26 per share on 16 March 2012.
