Linklaters Competition Rewards Aspiring Lawyers’ Ambitions

By

Linklaters has announced the winners of its annual “Aspire” competition. Now in its second year, “Aspire”, organised by Linklaters’ graduate recruitment team, encourages and inspires students to develop themselves and make a difference to their lives or to those others within their communities.

The competition examines students’ needs and wishes, and makes some of these a reality. Students choose their own prize – with the catch being they must convince Linklaters judges, in 250 words or fewer, why they deserve their reward.

£10,000 worth of prizes has been awarded, which has included funding for language courses, contributions towards charity expeditions, board games for care homes, driving lessons and subscriptions to news publications.

Amongst the prizes, Linklaters has awarded funding towards:

Activities in 12 different countries, including Kenya, India, Morocco, and Gambia;
Courses in 4 different languages;
…to 34 prize winners.

Simon Branigan, Linklaters graduate recruitment partner, said:

“We’re delighted to have run the Aspire competition for a second year and have seen a range of inspired entries from students. We’d like to thank everyone who entered the competition and are very pleased to have helped even more students to achieve their aspirations.”
