During Iran president Hassan Rouhani's historic visit to Pakistan, Pakistani armed forces chief of staff Raheel Sharif said he discussed the sensitive topic of Indian espionage activities being undertaken on Iranian soil. Rouhan later on denied that they had these discussions.

The Illinois Human Rights Commission fined $80,000 on an inn that refused to host a civil-union ceremony for a same-sex couple. The couple said that they were told that "homosexuality is immoral and unnatural."
