A Florida Chuck E. Cheese employee was arrested for alleged credit card fraud while wearing the full mascot costume during his shift at the children's restaurant.
A photo of the incident captures the moment Tallahassee Police remove the costumed employee as children look on, mouths agape. Another image, taken shortly afterward, shows the man unmasked, with the Chuck E. Cheese mascot head resting on top of the police cruiser.
TPD spokesperson Jerome Maples confirmed the authenticity of the images to the Tallahassee Democrat, stating that the man was arrested on three felony charges.
Court records reveal the man has been charged with theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information, and fraudulent use of a credit card more than twice within six months.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been officially released, was booked into the Leon County Jail and released on bond Thursday.
