West Wilson's cousin, Dakota Sweeney, was arrested in Missouri and charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action after police say he shot and killed their grandmother, Gayle R. Wilson.
The case was filed after Carroll County authorities responded to a reported shooting at a home in Carrollton on Apr. 22, according to multiple reports and state records.
Sweeney, 28, was taken into custody the same night officers found Gayle R. Wilson dead inside the residence. According to a probable-cause statement cited by several outlets, a witness identified Sweeney as the shooter and said he had been sitting on a couch next to the victim for about 30 minutes before allegedly firing a shot into her head, according to People.

The witness also told investigators that Sweeney and Wilson had argued earlier in the evening about his not helping with household chores. Police said he was arrested without incident at the scene, and officers reported finding a holster on him after the arrest.
Court and law-enforcement records cited by reporters said Sweeney was booked on a no-bond warrant and was being held at the Caldwell County Jail. A bond appearance hearing was scheduled for May 6, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control was leading the homicide investigation, The Express reported.
Gayle R. Wilson was 75, according to the obituary and the reports citing it. The obituary said she lived in Carrollton, Missouri, and listed West Wilson and Dakota Sweeney among her grandchildren.
The arrest came one day before West Wilson filmed the Season 10 reunion of "Summer House," according to entertainment reports. West Wilson has not publicly commented on the arrest, and reporters said his representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment, as per People.
