Facebook has a new app designed for set-top boxes. The videos on Facebook can already be watched at a much larger screen. The app is to launch on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung Smart TV.

According to Recode, the new app by Facebook is another way to watch the videos on the News Feeds. In fact, Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's CEO shared that the team wanted users to be up to date with the latest TV shows and still use the same social media outlet.

The new app for set-top boxes will be launched in the next few weeks. Facebook users watch 100 million each day in 2016. This time, Facebook wanted to bring in longer videos so to give users a TV experience through the platform.

Buzzfeed News reported that the new Facebook app will be available on Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Samsung Smart TV. The videos that Facebook can play can be played on the TV screens. This also will give a new medium for video ads.

This new TV app will not contain ads when Facebook will launch it. There is no word yet if Facebook will license the content through this new app. Facebook released several new features in the News Feed and the new app that is developed has been bundled with the new features.

Meanwhile, BBC reported that the Facebook Live videos will then have an automatic audio. The audio is a default setting and it gained positive reviews from users. The sound of the video will not override the sound of the device. There is also an option to turn off the Facebook video on the app settings.

These developments from Facebook are just a few of its future plans. There will be more feature enhancements on the social media platform in the future. This may include voice recognition software. The software automatically transcribes clips and adds subtitles to the videos.
