NY Mall Shooting: Sang Ho Kim Identified As Gunman Who Opened Fire Killing One at Lighting Company in Long Island (Video)

By

Long Island police are looking for 63-year-old Sang Ho Kim, the disgruntled contractor who opened fire in an East Garden City lighting company on Wednesday morning where he killed one employee and critically injured the company's owner, authorities said, as reported by the New York Post.

"The company was occupied by about 4 employees at the time. He entered one room where the owner CEO and an employee were. He opened fire immediately on those two individuals," said Nassau County Chief of Department Steven Skrynecki.

Kim had fled the scene in a white Honda Pilot with New York plates, police said. Sang Ho Kim is a former employee of Savenergy, a company that manufactures energy efficient light fixtures. He had been recently fired following a dispute with someone another employee member, Skrynecki added.

"The motive here appears to be a work related motive" Skrynecki said. "There's some disgruntlement between him and the company that he was attacking."

"We have nothing to suggest that this individual is on a random shooting rampage," he added.

Kim is described as an Asian man standing around 6-foot-2; he was last seen wearing a red shirt and brown suit jacket, cops said.
