Ayvani Hope Perez, a 14-year-old Georgia girl who was abducted in a home invasion robbery, was found alive on Wednesday after a massive search by multiple law enforcement agencies, local police said, as reported by The Associated Press. The two suspects remain in custody.

Hope Perez was abducted from her home early on Tuesday after authorities said the robbers broke in and demanded money and jewelry from her family. Armed with handguns, the robbers pried open a back door of the home in the Ellenwood area around 2:15 a.m, news reports also said.

Ayvani's mother had her daughter and her 15-year-old son hiding inside the home, but the intruders were able to find them, police said in a statement. The men abducted Ayvani with no explanation, police said.

The crime happened in Ellenwood, a small community about 10 miles southeast of Atlanta, police said.

Both the robbery and abduction appeared to be random, authorities said.

"She's in good health, she's being evaluated as we speak," Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter said. She was found in Conyers, Georgia, and has been reunited with her family.

Authorities do not whether the suspects in custody knew Ayvani or the family.
