According to Attack of the Fan Boy, Crystal Dynamics may be directing their attention to another upcoming AAA project as of late due to the announcement made recently, which they refused to name directly for the time being. The reality remains though for now, that Rise of the Tomb Raider is the hottest thing that the developer has and the on-going downloadable content bestowed upon it seemingly brings an eerie flavor to the title.

IGN delivered that Rise of the Tomb Raider's Cold Darkness Awakened has another thing coming with the zombie-like theme raining upon it. Though it was somewhat highly unlikely for Rise of the Tomb Raider to have such concept, it was further explained by Crystal Dynamics that it is a mere infection that surrounded the immediate vicinity and caused the aforementioned chaos found in the game. Set around a soviet territory, Lara must prevent the viral outbreak in three separate chemical production towers, in which the journey proves to be perilous.

As per Tom Raider Chronicles, gamers will be asked to salvage a few commodities here and there, as well as the continuous instructions given through the radio. It could be levers and fuse boxes to activate or some directions to avoid the infected. Either way, the experience is considerably an exciting one to those that managed to play the game.
