Authorities in California are investigating the death of an unidentified man whose body was discovered Tuesday morning at a Goodwill in Pasadena.

Pasadena police responded around 11:00 am to reports of a body at the donation drop-off area of the store located at 340 Fair Oaks Avenue, KTLA reported. Officers found the man's body wrapped in a blue tarp and blanket inside a donation bin, surrounded by other items left by donors.

The victim has only been identified as an unhoused adult male in his 30s pending next-of-kin notification, the medical examiner's office told KABC. Authorities have not confirmed the cause of death, though investigators suspect drugs may have been involved.

The store's exterior was taped off as detectives combed the area for evidence. The investigation remains ongoing.
