Talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, revealed in her famous noontime talk show that she and wife, Portia De Rossi, have decided to extend their family with an addition of a new member.

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's family is growing, especially with the new addition to their household: a new puppy.

"I have not talked about this yet, but we have a new puppy. Portia and I got a puppy and his name is Kid so now we have a kid. Yep. I mean he is absolutely adorable," exclaimed DeGeneres.

The talk show host then described how it was like to care for a puppy while it also socializes with the pair's two other dogs, Wolf and Auggie. DeGeneres said that while Kid is "cute as can be," it is "not cute" to wake up many times in the middle of the night.

"[It's] not cute to wake up at 11, and 1, and 3 and 5. And then 5 is when he's up, up. That's Wolf. You can't tell he's tiny. Wolf is not that big, but our two-Auggie and Wolf-are doing great with him. They are really teaching him a lot, but he's so... Oh, God!" Blurted the host and expressing her adoration towards the new pet as photos show up on the screen.

"It really makes me appreciate what it's like to be a mother. Because like I'm trying to hold a puppy while I'm trying to make coffee. And I can't do anything. He doesn't let me do anything," added DeGeneres, as written and published by E! Online.

The host then made a comment about how she and de Rossi always get asked as to when they will decide to have children. This was the reason behind the name of the new puppy.

"And I named him Kid because you know, people... There have been rumors forever. 'When are you and Portia gonna have a kid? So, now I can say we have a Kid. So it can just stop," said DeGeneres, in a separate post by ABC News.
