The most-awaited "Divergent" sequel "Insurgent" begins to ramp up shooting, as fans of Veronica Roth's movie adaptation series are all-eyes in search for hints about significant happenings and developments with the second installment.

Following the wrapped up promotions for the young adult movie adaptation of John Green's "The Fault in Our Stars," which also stars "Insurgent" lead actor and actress Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley, the production team wastes no time and starts filming the sequel.

The news surfaced as Elgort posted a tweet dishing the info that they are on their way to Atlanta for "Insurgent."

Although the first "Divergent" franchise was filmed in Chicago, the production team shoots most of the scenes in the second installment in Atlanta, which is turning to be a hotspot for Hollywood production in the recent years due to favorable tax credits that the city and state offer.

Reports also confirmed that Robert Schwentke, director of the critically-acclaimed "The Time Traveler's Wife" has been placed on board, replacing "Divergent" director Neil Burger. Also, joining Schwentke is "Winter's Tale's" Akiva Goldsman who is reported to do the rewriting of "Insurgent's" initial draft.

Meanwhile, DJ-turned-heartthrob-actor Ansel Elgort opened up about what he likes the most with his character. Elgort is not at all worried that fans might feel different about him as there may be a shift of portrayal in the upcoming sequel.

"I like the fact that he (Caleb) is not a leading man, and he's kind of an antagonist," said Elgort in an interview with Bop and Tiger Beat. "He's not the guy the audience will love the whole time. You might even hate him if the second and third movies-if we get to make them-come out because Caleb has a real arc."

Albeit there are no official announcements regarding the confirmed date of "Insurgent's" release, reports suggest that the highly-anticipated installment is said to be available in cinemas March 20 2015.
