'Powerless' Spoilers, News & Update: Vanessa Hudgens Plays An Optimistic Emily Locke

Vanessa Hudgens stars in NBC's new comedy series "Powerless." She portrays the role of Emily Locke who is a newcomer to Charm City.

 According to a report in CNet, "Powerless" is a story of Emily who comes to Charm City and finds a new job at Wayne Security. She handles a group of designers. They are working on new products that can minimize the inconvenience of the plots of supervillain.

Emily's boss, Van Wayne (Alan Tudyk) is Bruce Wayne's cousin. He wants to be transferred to Gotham city in order to have more time hanging out with Bruce. However, he is left to manage the company Wayne Security in the new series "Powerless."

This new comedy series is totally new for Hudgens as this is the first time that she stars in a show about superheroes. In fact, she shares that she has watched the "Batman" movies before but never really worked at a superhero film. "Powerless" is appealing to her since it is new and the office setting is one that she loves.

Additionally, show's executive producer Patrick Schumacker also shares in a report from The Hollywood Reporter that Hudgens' character is similar to Emily's character in Powerless. He adds that Hudgens has taken on a lead in the show and that is what the team needed.

Meanwhile, Hudgens shares in Entertainment about what he sees on the new series "Powerless." She notes that what she loves about the series is that it is a work space comedy. The originality of the series is also one aspect that she has been attracted to it.

"Powerless" is all about everyday life with normal people as Hudgens talk about it. There are not much of superheroes in the show. The close that Bruce Wayne is in the series is a text message from him. Hudgens adds that this new series is something that fans can follow through.
