A modern remake of the classic flick, The Magnificent Seven, is currently underway with an all-star cast comprised of Matt Bomer, Chris Pratt, Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawk, and Peter Skarsgaard among many others. Hawk also recently shared his experiences while filming.

The upcoming remake of the 1960's classic is expected to hit theaters in a few months. According to Enstarz, it will center on the story of seven gun men who slowly group together with the main goal of saving an oppressed village that is ruled by savage thieves.

Chris Pratt is officially on board the project as Josh Farraday, Denzel Washington as Sam Chisolm, Ethan Hawk as Goodnight Robicheaux, Peter Skarsgaard as Bartholomew Bogue, Sean Bridgers as Fanning, Byung Hun Lee as Billy Rocks, and Vincent D'Onofrio as Jack Home. The Equalizer actress Haley Bennett was also casted as a widow who hires seven men to exact revenge.

Hawk also recently spoke regarding his thoughts about the film describing it as really a remake of The Wild Bunch disguised as a Magnificent Seven remake. During his interview with Collider, Hawk shared that the cast "had a ball doing it" and described it as intense, and the longest shoot of his professional life. He also agreed when the interviewer described the shoot as hot and challenging while also commenting about the weather as it rained constantly while they filmed.

According to Film Music Reporter, Simon Fraglen was tapped to record the music for The Magnificent Seven. The pieces will be based on the themes written by the late composer, James Horner, which he wrote before he passed away last summer.

Southpaw director Antoine Fuqua is sitting in the director's chair for the upcoming The Magnificent Seven from script by John Lee Hancock, Richard Wenk, and Nic Pizzolatto. It is currently slated to hit theater in September 23, 2016.
