By

A week following the rollout of March update, Supercell has released a new optional update for phenomenal mobile strategy game, Clash of Clans, which brings in visual improvements to its air defense units, matchmaking and a lot more.

As reported by International Business Times, Clash of Clans game had some downtime for a short server maintenance break last April 1. Through a response to a comment from fan on Facebook, Supercell confirmed the new optional update is available for both iOS and Android users, adding that such will offer visual improvements to the game's air defense buildings.

Prior to the update, gamers have the difficulty to see the difference between the buildings in each level. Since this is an optional update, players must go to their respective app store to avail of the update.

The details of the changes offered in the new optional update are provided as follows via Supercell Forum

  • War base edit mode crash when pressing "cancel" is now fixed;
  • Air Defence graphics have been tweaked: they're easier to spot now and to identify each level;
  • War Events screen: old and new Stars are now more clear and easy to read.

In more news, Supercell surprised the COC fans with a fun April Fools' day treat as it released what it called the official '2016 Clash of Clans Desk calendar'. Revealed on Twitter account, the said calendar features wacky poses of all the in-game male characters sporting sexy swimsuits. The featured characters for all months in the year include fan favorite Barbarian, Hog Rider, Wall Breaker, P.E.K.K.A, Minion, Dragon and others, not to mention, the Hidden Tesla.

As posted on its YouTube summary page for the calendar, Supercell stated, "You asked. We delivered." [Watch video]
