‘Rise of the Tomb Raider' Update: Baba Yaga DLC Coming Next Week for Xbox One; Title in PC Version Release Date, Gameplay Details Revealed

Microsoft Studios announced the Rise of the Tomb Raider downloadable contents will be launched this January on Xbox One while the game will be available for PC versions. The DLC features Lara in a mysterious tomb.

The Rise of the Tomb Raider's DLC is dubbed Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch and will hit the shelves next week for Xbox One, Game Spot verified with Microsoft Studios.

The source described the Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch as an adventure that expands the story of Lara facing new rivals, exploring a new puzzle-filled tomb and solving decade-old mystery, capping in a head-to-head confrontation with ancient and mystic evil. The heroine has a new outfit and new bow. The story expansion will run for hours of gameplay.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was launched in November 2015 for Xbox One and Xbox 360. On Xbox platforms, the game has sold "well over" 1 million copies, according to Microsoft. The PS4 version arrives this holiday, as reported by Game Spot.

Baba Yaga, originated from Slavic Folklore, is a supernatural creature usually in the form of twisted or fierce woman. In Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch, Lara Croft enters the strange and mystic forest of Baba Yaga, a witch. She fights her way within illusions and hallucinations, International Business Times in India shared.

Christian Post confirmed that Square Enix will launch Rise of the Tomb Raider for PC version on January 28. The PC version supports 4K resolution and requires a minimum Windows 7 64bit OS, Intel Core i3-2100 or AMD equivalent processor, Nvidia GTX 650 2 GB or AMD HD7770 2 GB GPU, 6 GB RAM, 25 GB hard drive space, DirectX 11, a mouse, and a keyboard.

The Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch expansion is an add-in in the season pass of the game that costs $29.99. The first season pass content was the Endurance Mode released last month. The first season pass content required players to keep Lara alive in the toughest situation. The third DLC called Cold Darkness Awakened is due later this year, as held by the site.

Rise of the Tomb Raider will release for PC on January 28 and the Baba Yaga DLC for Xbox One will be available on January 26.
