'Thor: Ragnarok' Spoilers: Anthony Hopkins reprises role as Odin; Sky god to stay on Earth?

By

The character and fate of Odin have remained shrouded in mystery all throughout the film. However, it has been revealed recently to fans that Anthony Hopkin's Odin is coming back to Thor: Ragnarok, and he's here on Earth.

According to Geek, Odin (Anthony Hopkins) will reprise his role, but he is not seated on his throne at Asgard. If fans can remember, it is now Loki who sits on the throne of Asgard. Though there have been no reports from Marvel Studio about where is Odin, rumors have it that Odin flees from Asgard for Midgard.

Odin will be staying on planet Earth. According to IGN, the father of Thor will look like a regular being on Earth. Reports said that he will be like one of those weird looking 'the end is nigh' street corner hobos, warning humans about the impending apocalypse. It has also been reported that Thor will eventually.

Kevin Fiege of Marvel has announced that Thor: Ragnarok will feature new landscapes in Marvel Cinematic Universe. Fiege said that Thor: Ragnarok will mainly be set on foreign planets, which is going to be the foundation on why and how it distinguishes itself from the first two films in the franchise.

A lot of Marvel's fans seem to agree that Thor movies are somewhat the weakest installment in MCU. But, Kevin Feige said in his latest interview that Thor: Ragnarok will be approached differently this time. He promised fans that the storyline will be bigger and that the visual effects will be much more excellent. He also hinted that the Mighty Thor might not be spending much time hanging out in Midgard, as reported by Screen Crush.

Thor: Ragnarok will hit the theaters this November 3, 2017. Chris Hemsworth will reprise his role as the God of Thunder, who will reportedly embark on a differently beautiful cosmic road trip - with his father, Odin.
