Florida Teen Flips Out at Judge, Sent to Jail [Video]

An 18-year-old Florida girl landed herself in jail after getting furious and flipping out at a judge in the courtroom.

Penelope Soto was arrested and charged with possession of drugs. ABC News reported Soto was arrested after crashing her bike and she admitted to the authorities that she was high on Xananx and was carrying some more.

Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Jorge Rodriguez-Chomat was angered by Soto's casual behavior during her courtroom appearance. She laughed throughout the time she faced the judge.

ABC News further reports that judge Rodriguez-Chomat set Soto's bail at $5,000 as she showed no records of prior arrests. She replied "adios" after the dismissal, which impelled the judge to call her back and raise her bail amount to $10,000.

Soto gasped and asked, "Are you serious?" For which the judge shot back saying, "I am serious. Adios"

As she walked away, she muttered the F-word and responded with her middle finger.

The judge called her back again and demanded to know if he had heard her correctly. She said that he had heard her correctly. This led to judge Rodriguez-Chomat sentence her to 30 days in jail for criminal contempt, the ABC News report said.

Soto is currently held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
