How to Train Your Dragon 3 is the third instalment in the animated action fantasy film that started in 2010 and it gave the audience with the lovable duo of Hiccup and Toothless. However, as the third film is approaching the director gave some hints to what will the fans expect on the next journey of the two. Moreover, the adventure of the inseparable characters is going to end with how the author of the fictional series meant it.
Three years is what fans should be waiting to watch the upcoming sequel to the film adaptation of Cressida Cowell's How to Train Your Dragon but the team behind it left some clues as to what should be expected. The Christian Post reported that rumours and speculations are now focused on the storyline of the upcoming sequel. However, the anticipated movie may leave fans holding their tears after seeing the film in 2018 which is due to the major split between Hiccup and Toothless. Moreover, it may be the end of a trilogy for the franchise since it is the duo's time to handle their own tribes.
According to Cross Map, the franchise director Dean Debois stated that both characters are going to reach their last stage of maturity and that is to be able to stand up for the tribe they are with. Debois said "It's a dueling story where you have both characters trying to do what's right for their kind" adding that Hiccup must now learn how to fight his own battles. This raised speculations with the fans that the partners in crime are rearing toward the separation of their adventures.
Furthermore, Latinos Post claimed that the film will go and follow the conclusion that was written on the book by author Cressida Cowell. More to this, the director also disclosed that they are going to take the story back from the beginning of the book in which Hiccup is an adult and is merely reflecting on his time when there were dragons. This is insinuating that the dragons will eventually go away. Lastly, there is a rumour that the final film will feature Toothless' love interest that could mender the sad feelings away.
