Screenrant reports that "True Detective" Season 2 will be introducing a new story, directors, characters, and setting. The site added that the show will be featuring a true anthology structure, moving away from the narrative that was in its first season. Showrunner Nic Pizzolatto confirmed these in a series of public interviews he did about the show.
