Two Planned Parenthood affiliate organizations sued Kansas and its governor following the cut off of Medicaid funding. The state Department of Health and Environment cited several reasons why it terminated the reimbursement including "noncompliance with applicable state laws" and "unethical or unprofessional conduct."

The two companies issued a joint statement that the breach of contract lawsuit case has been settled. Fox Business Network and Leftfield Pictures did not reveal the details of the settlement deal.

A federal judge who ruled last year that the federal government should take full responsibility for some of the flooding that occurred in New Orleans, following Hurricane Katrina and other typhoons granted class-action status in the case.
