Dayton Webber's ex-girlfriend says the quadruple amputee cornhole player had an "angry dark side" and would allegedly "lash out" during their relationship, adding a new allegation to the murder case against him. Tori Mattingly said Webber often became angry, refused therapy, and once yelled at her in a 2024 video she later shared with reporters.

Mattingly said she dated Webber for about four years before they broke up in February 2025. She said the relationship began as a friendship but turned serious, and that his temper became a pattern she could not ignore.

She said one recorded dispute showed Webber shouting, "I asked you to get off my property!" during an argument over her car. Mattingly said that the incident was part of why she believed his behavior was more serious than people realized, according to The Guardian.

The murder case centers on the Mar. 22 shooting of Bradrick Michael Wells in La Plata, Maryland. Police say Wells was in the front passenger seat of Webber's vehicle when an argument broke out, and Webber allegedly shot him.

Investigators say witnesses in the car refused to help Webber remove the body, then fled and reported the shooting to police. Authorities later found Wells' body in a yard in Charlotte Hall, and Webber was arrested in Charlottesville, Virginia, after his vehicle was located there, Fox5DC reported.

Webber faces first-degree murder, second-degree murder, assault, and firearm charges, and he is awaiting extradition to Maryland. Police have not said what started the argument, but the ex-girlfriend's account has now become part of the wider public picture of the case.

Webber became well known in cornhole after losing both legs and both forearms as a baby because of a severe infection. His athletic profile has drawn attention, but the current focus remains on the murder charge and Mattingly's claims about his behavior, as per CBS News.
