Savannah Guthrie and her family have announced a $1 million reward for information leading to the recovery of her missing mother, 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, as the search enters its fourth week and investigators continue to treat the case as a likely abduction.

Guthrie revealed the increased reward in a new video message, shared on social media on February 24, saying her family believes someone knows where Nancy is and pleading for that person to come forward. She stressed that the money will be paid only for information that directly leads to locating her mother, in line with FBI reward criteria.

The family's offer brings the total potential reward to about $1 million when combined with existing law enforcement incentives, including an FBI reward of up to $50,000, according to People. The FBI's Phoenix office has urged anyone with specific knowledge of Nancy's whereabouts to contact its tip line, emphasizing that even small details could help advance the case.

Nancy Guthrie was reported missing around midday on February 1, after she failed to appear for an online church service and did not respond to calls from friends. She was last seen the previous evening after having dinner with family at her daughter's home in the Tucson area and returning to her own residence.

Authorities in Pima County say evidence at the scene indicates Nancy was taken from her bed during the night against her will. Sheriff Chris Nanos has described the case as a kidnapping investigation, citing surveillance footage of a masked intruder and a prior demand for money, though investigators have not publicly confirmed a clear motive, Today reported.

As the investigation stretches beyond three weeks, officials say they have received tens of thousands of tips but have not announced any major breakthroughs or suspects. Search efforts have included ground teams, drones, and detailed forensic work at Nancy's home, with the sheriff warning it could take months or even years to find definitive answers.

In her latest appeal, Guthrie acknowledged the possibility that her mother may already be dead but said the family needs to know what happened and where she is. She also announced a $500,000 donation from her family to support organizations helping other families of missing people, hoping heightened attention to Nancy's case will also bring help to others, as per CNN.
